Miss Brittney Klarissa Garcia - Owner, Director & Head Instructor

Miss Brittney has been dancing for many years! She likes to tell people that she came out of the womb turning and leaping. She was in and out of studios from the age of 3, up until she tried out for her middle school cheerleading team in 2008. Brittney was 1 out of 16 girls who were chosen out of 40 girls for the team. She continued with cheerleading for the three years she was in middle school, but also joining a competitive all-star team. Both teams that Brittney was a part of won numerous competitions across the west coast. After a victory in Anaheim, California, Miss Brittney’s cheerleading days came to an end when she tore both of her ACL’s and Meniscuses.

She then found herself back into a dance studio and trying out for her High School Varsity Dance team, which she made as a Freshmen in 2011. Serving as a member of The Jaguar Gold Dance Team for a year, Brittney soon realized that all-stars was where her heart was set. Competing as a soloist across the west coast for two years, she knew it was time to hang up her jazz shoes and share her passion with others.

The love and dedication for dance didn’t stop there, she dusted off her jazz shoes in the winter of 2016. Brittney found herself dancing for the Albuquerque’s Duke City Gladiators Professional Indoor Football team and has now become their Head Coach for 2018 season.

Coaching since the age of 16, she built relationships, lead by example, became a role model and mentor for young ladies all over Albuquerque. Brittney founded Dancing Stars Dance Studio in July of 2016. She wanted to bring dance to the South Valley, share her passion with others, and build a generation of not only great dancers but amazing young ladies and men.

Brittney’s motto is, “You don’t stop dancing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop dancing.” Brittney uses dance in her everyday life, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. This is something that she hopes to teach her current students and students to come.

 Alexis Andrade - Instructor

Dance is a big part of her life. She plans on continuing her dance career after high school. She enjoys sharing her passion with young children and works excellent with youth. Her personal motto is "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."

Kylee Mirabel - Instructor/Administrator

My name is Kylee; I’ve been a dancer at Dancing Stars' for two years and it’s been an amazing experience! I was a dancer most of my life; I started dance at 3 years old at an old studio in Los Lunas. I was in every class you can think of but unfortunately took a break when I was 8 years old. In Replace of dance, I joined Rio Grande’s swim team, which I was apart of for multiple seasons. I came to the realization that my heart was in dance and just so happened that my Aunt's goddaughter owned a dance studio here in the South Valley. It took me a while to get to the studio but once I did I loved it! Miss Brittney has been a wonderful amazing coach, I’ve learned so much from her in the few years I've been here, not to mention that I’ve become very close to her. Miss Brittney is also such an amazing role model; she graduated early and started college and finished that by 20 years old! She is very young and has so much going for herself. Best of all she never gives up! She has been an amazing person when it comes to my education she will help me with everything and anything I need. She pushes me to try my hardest at everything I do and I’m so thankful for her! Most of all Brittney is an amazing coach.

Delyssia Gurule - Instructor

My name is Delyssia Gurule and I’ve been dancing for 3 years. I’ve only danced at Dancing Stars Dance Studio; at first, I didn’t think I would like it and I was right, I ended up loving it! Not only do I shine a light on the dance floor but I also spent some time on the cheer mat. Miss Brittney and this studio have helped me overcome so many things in the past three years. I ended up stopping dance for a few months for personal reasons, and when I came back it was like I never left. The studio is like a big family, I could always talk to Miss Brittney and/or my team when in need of it because they are my family. Miss Brittney is probably one of the strongest people I know, she’s always keeping her head up through everything, she is one great role model, she’s inspired me to graduate high school early, just like she did. She’s accomplished so much at such a young age. Words can’t explain how much I appreciate her. Not only do I take classes at Dancing Stars' but I also teach the pee-wees.  I absolutely adore my students and I am so thankful that I get to share my passion with them. When I grow up I want to be a lawyer so I can help the people in my community get justice, Brittney also inspired me to do that.

Miavon Chavez - Instructor

My name is Miavon I am 15 years old I am attending Atrisco Heritage Academy High School, I’ve been dancing since I was 2 years old, since then I have taken multiple classes such as hip hop, ballet, and jazz. Not only am I skilled on the dance floor but I also play softball. After taking a 6-year break, I realized that dance is my safe haven. I am so thankful I discovered my passion at a young age; I want to thank my team and Miss Brittney, they have helped me through so much and have given me a place to go to get my mind off things. I recently started teaching and I absolutely love it! It is so amazing how they can think of me the way I think of Miss Brittney and I am forever grateful that I get to share my passion with them. When I’m older I want to work with kids who are sick, so being a teacher has shown me how to have lots of patients with them. When I finish high school, I hope to be as successful as my coach and have a positive input of everything and anything.
